Anaheim Cemetery Memorial Day Program

The Orange County Cemetery District will once again host in person Memorial Day Services honoring veterans at all three of the District's cemeteries; Anaheim Cemetery, El Toro Memorial Park and Santa Ana Cemetery.
The program is sponsored by the American Legion Post 72 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3173. The observance will include special guest speakers, a wreath presentation and a Rifle Volley Salute. The Orange County Cemetery District wishes to thank all of the many volunteers who are making this program possible.

Loma Vista Memorial Day Ceremony

The Woman’s Club of Fullerton will be taking part by presenting a wreath to honor our fallen heroes. Members of the public and all veterans are invited to attend. This is the oldest continuous Memorial Day ceremony in Orange County. Fullerton’s program began in 1939 when C. Stanley Chapman, a WWI veteran and son of the City’s first mayor, began the tradition of placing a small white cross and an American flag at the graves of about 50 veterans at Loma Vista. Presently there are nearly 4,400 American flags placed at the grave sites.

The City of Irvine invites the community to join us for our annual Memorial Day Ceremony in the Formal Garden at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, Monday, May 25, beginning at 10 a.m. This meaningful ceremony honors all fallen American service members who gave their lives defending our freedom. A Commanding Officer from Irvine adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion will offer a time of reflection and tribute for these brave men and women.

Honoring the United States Marine Corps Dark Horse Battalion, this
favorite Memorial Day running event takes
place in the beautiful Orange County cities
of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods,
and Laguna Niguel. Runners and walkers of
all experience levels are invited to come
out and enjoy the Memorial Day festivities!
With a half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles), 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles) and a Kid's Run (1/2 Mile), there is something for everyone!

El Toro Memorial Park Memorial Day Program

The program will include special guest speaker U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Greg Munck. Third District Supervisor Donald Wagner will also be providing Memorial Day remarks. The program will include the reading of General Logan's Order, the recognition of attending Veterans and Blue and Gold Star Mothers, and a wreath presentation by representatives from the surrounding cities. An Honor Guard Firing Salute will be provided by members of VFW Post 6024. Special music will be provided by the Master Chorale of Saddleback Valley. Musician, Richard Cook will play "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes and the sounding of "Taps' will be played by bugler, Richard Chasin and local guitarist and vocalist Gene Smith will provide prelude and postlude special mustic

Mission Viejo Memorial Day Virtual Ceremony

The ceremony features guest speaker Colonel Charles "Clay" Readinger, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, and a tribute to Megan McClung, a Mission Viejo resident who died serving the U.S. 20 years ago. The event will also boast a live vocal performance by Chad Berlinghieri, a performer with the LA Philharmonic and Opera Pacific at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

The Orange County Cemetery District will once again host Memorial Day Services honoring veterans at all three of the District's cemeteries; Anaheim Cemetery, El Toro Memorial Park and Santa Ana Cemetery.
The program will take place in front of the Soldiers' Monument near the entrance from Santa Clara Ave. The program will include a color guard, a parade of flags, special guest speakers, wreath presentations, and inspiring patriotic music, and a special cannon salute.
