COSTA MESA

Salute to Veterans – Free Community Celebration
Saturday, November 10, 2018
10 am - 2 pm

Salute to Veterans will feature live music by Flashback Heart Attack (’80s rock ‘n’ roll) and performances by Vanguard University of Southern California and the Pacific Symphony’s Brass Quintet. Attendees will have access to resources and a job fair, health screenings, kids activities and more.

The event will also feature a blood drive by Hoag Hospital.

DANA POINT

Veterans of Foreign War Memorial Day Event
Sunday, November 11, 2018
10:00 am

The entire community is invited to join the Veterans of Foreign War for a day of remembrance.

The program will include the unveiling of the two plaques with the names of deceased veterans who were residents of Dana Park, and who were members of Post 9934. Participating in the services will the the Color Guard from Marine Aircraft Group 39, Camp Pendleton, and the Post 9934 Honor Guard and Rifle Team.

FULLERTON

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony
Monday, November 12, 2018
10:30 am

2018 DETAILS:
The observance, hosted by Fullerton American Legion Post 142, Fullerton Emblem Club 469 and the City of Fullerton, will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a parade in Fullerton’s historic downtown. The parade will begin at the Downtown Plaza, located on Wilshire Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard and adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center, go North on Harbor Blvd., to the newly renovated Hillcrest Park.

Once at Hillcrest Park, a ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. The ceremony will include placement of wreaths, patriotic solos by Kristen Romero, a gun salute by the Fullerton Police Department and the playing of “Taps”.

Veterans Day Ceremony

On Veterans Day we remember the sacrifices of those Americans who gave their time, their fighting spirit and sometimes their lives in war. In honor of Huntington Beach veterans, a Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza on November 11 at 11:00 am.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Jim Ghormley will be the Master of Ceremonies for the day.

Veterans Day Car Show
November 11, 2018

FREE to spectators. This Veteran's Day festival in Huntington Beach celebrates and honors our heroes who have served in the military, many overseas in wars.

Beginning at Pier Plaza with a Veteran's Day Ceremony, the day continues with hundreds of classic, collector cars, customs, motorcycles and more at the city beach parking lot across the street from major resort hotels, Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa and The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel. Enjoy various vendors with great food, stage entertainment including performances from local bands, and more.

Military Gas Giveaway

8:00am - 10:00am

This Veterans Day, Nuvision Credit Union and Radio DJ Sean Valentine, host of the 104.3 MYFM morning show will be hosting a free event at the Mobile gas station at the corner of Endinger & Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach, CA.

There will be a team of volunteers will be pumping free gas for active military and veterans.

This day at Pretend City is dedicated to teaching their young guests about why we appreciate our veterans and how we show our thankfulness. Bring your kids and show your respect and celebrate those who have sacrificed for our freedom!
