Pet Days is back for its ninth year featuring local rescues for pet adoptions, non-profit vendors offering animal education, and small business owners offering pet supplies and services for purchase. Come out to meet the fluffy and furry, creepy and crawly animals from 9am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please, no personal pets allowed at this event.

For free admission into the Market Place, simply bring a donation and the $2 fee will be waived.

Pet Expo - Costa Mesa

A giant animal entertainment and education festival. It’s the largest pet and pet product expo in the world. Over 1,000 animals will entertain you in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, goats, pigs, llamas, rabbits, miniature horses and more. There will also be pet adoptions, pet products for sale, petting zoo, how-to workshops and advice from animal experts. It is presented by a nonprofit organization to promote responsible pet care. Super Pet Adoption Event - Irvine
June

More than 40 pet rescue groups and animal shelters will bring about 600 homeless dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals for adoption. The annual event features dozens of pet-related vendors, gourmet food trucks, a silent auction, low-cost microchipping and an opportunity drawing. Each animal available for adoption is spayed or neutered, microchipped and evaluated by a veterinarian. Cats and dogs are vaccinated appropriate to age.

Suggested donation for the event is $2 per person or $5 per family. Parking is free.

ARK of San Juan

Rescuing the forgotten animals of San Juan Capistrano and beyond. The Ark of San Juan Companion Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to saving the pets in, and around, our community. Through Owner Relinquishes, acceptance of true strays, and pulls from the county shelter, our organization rescues and provides medical care, food, shelter, training and tender care for these abandoned or unwanted pets until a loving forever home is found.

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County

This non-profit organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred German Shepherd Dogs that have no where else to turn. Dogs for adoption are housed in foster home situations and in private boarding facilities. Through a careful screening process, they place loving dogs into forever homes with compassionate individuals and families. Irvine Animal Care Center

5-acre facility houses more than 3,000 homeless animals every year. In the spring of 2000, the IACC introduced THIRD CHANCE FOR PETS, an innovative and life-saving program that allows us to rescue adoptable pets from other area shelters where they might not have the opportunity to find homes. Since inception 15 years ago, the Center has accepted more than 7,400 animals into the program.

Mission Viejo Animal Service

A pro-humane shelter where stray animals are cared for until they are reunited with their owners or until they can be placed in new permanent homes. Stray animals that are brought to the center are held a minimum of 6 full days awaiting redemption by their owner.

Modjeska Ranch Rescue

A non-profit, volunteer pet rescue organization based in south Orange County, CA. We are dedicated to finding great homes for neglected and abandoned dogs and cats. The animals come from various places: some come from owners who are no longer able to care for them; some are rescued from local shelters; others are saved from the streets. All of the pets are checked by a veterinarian, have their shots updated, and are spayed or neutered.

Pet Project Foundation
Benefiting the San Clemente - Dana Point Animal Shelter

Thousands of animals have come through this shelter where they are safely housed and loved until permanent homes can be found. Their pro-humane philosophy ensures that no adoptable animal will ever be euthanized, regardless of how long it takes to find them a new home. Pet Project Foundation volunteers put in over 25,000 hours each year socializing and exercising our shelter animals. They walk dogs, hop bunnies, and socialize cats - all to ensure that our animals are prepared to be good citizens in their new, forever homes.

Seal Beach Animal Care Center

All-volunteer, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats, and occasional rabbits, lost within ourcity limits. All donations received go directly to the care of the animals, with veterinary costs being our biggest expense.

Marine Life Rescue

Pacific Marine Mammal Center

A non-profit, volunteer organization and education center. They rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured seals and sea lions. Programs include a guided tour of the animal care facility and exhibit room, a slide presentation and observation of the animals.
