Orange Coast Medical Center offers a range of Childbirth & Parenting Events, Classes, Support Groups & Screenings. Classes such as Baby Care Basics, Breast Feeding Clinics and Childbirth Classes are some of the seminars offered.

Events, classes and support groups are open to the public. You do not need to be a MemorialCare patient to attend.

Mission Hospital Diabetes Education

Mission Hospital provides a diabetes education series for patients and their loved ones. All of the classes within the Diabetes Education series are free and can be taken individually or in any order, as they are designed to provide a comprehensive education on living with diabetes.

NH Comprehensive Health Center

If you are pre-diabetic or diabetic, we invite you to register for our Diabetes Empowerment and Education Program that will begin January 2019. This researched and proven workshop is designed to help adults with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes learn skills and increase their confidence in managing their diabetes. The workshop meets for 2 hours once a week for six weeks. The six weekly sessions cover topics like healthy eating, reading nutrition labels and planning low-fat meals, fun ways to get active, foot care, preventing or delaying complications, preventing low blood sugar and tips for talking with your doctor and family about your health. It’s also a great way to meet other people dealing with similar issues related to their diabetes.
