Annual Sandcastle Contest - Corona Del Mar

Hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, thousands of sightseers will descend on "Big Corona Beach" to view amazing sand sculptures created by participants ranging from the novice to the expert.

Orange County Children's Book Festival - Costa Mesa

German Unity Day Celebrations - Huntington
Wednesday, October 4, 2023

This historical day marks over 300 years of German immigration to the USA and marked the end of the Cold War in 1989, which paved the way for reunifying the Federal Republic and the Democratic Republic of Germany.

Doors open at 6pm. Admission is FREE. Under 21 you must be accompanied by your parents.

Cypress Community Festival - Cypress
October 6-7, 2023

One of the largest one-day festival in Orange County that attracts over 20,000 people annually. Tiller Days- Tustin

Newport Beach Film Festival - Newport Beach
October 12-19, 2023

Set in beautiful Newport Beach, a few blocks away from spectacular coastline and less than an hour from Hollywood, the Festival annually host several premieres and galas for a singular festival experience. The Heritage Festival and Parade - Placentia

Since 1965, this celebration of the city's heritage includes a parade and fair booths. The event begins at 7:00 am with a pancake breakfast. The festivities at Tri-City Park will start at 10:00 am and include family games, inflatables, food booths, crafters, home-based businesses, a business expo, and a variety of nonprofit displays. The event will also feature the 34th Annual Heritage Festival Car Show.

Annual Silverado Country Fair and Folk Festival - Silverado

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are our top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, we ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.

Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through April.

Summer and fall bring the giant blue whales. They can be seen from May through October

Humpback whales, finback whales, & minke whales are viewed year round. Giant marine protected park provides pristine habitat for whales and dolphin and means a simple 2-2.5 hour cruise is all that needed to see whales and dolphin from Dana Point and Newport Beach
