Chance Theater presents: Fun Home
January 31 —March 3, 2020

When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.

Med Connect Expo - Orange
March 4, 2020

4-6 pm

South Coast College, along with Horizon Support Services is hosting a 2-hour mixer type event to bring education about local resources and programs in the medical field to our students and the community. This would especially be great for members of the community who may want to become Certified Medical Assistants.

There will be vendors (in the medical field or with an emphasis on helping seniors), 4 speakers on medical topics (15 minutes each) in a separate room, food, prizes, and resources. This is a way for high school students and their parents to visit our campus casually. Medical Assistant students will be here to meet the vendors and enjoy the speakers as well. The doctors that instruct our Medical Assistant program will be here to answer any questions attendees may have about our program. This is literally our medical community connecting.

This is a free event. We only hope to educate others about the medical community and opportunities. Whether people are in need of resources or careers, this is a great way to introduce yourself.
