La Palma's Arbor Day Celebration - La Palma

Hosted by the La Palma Community Activities & Beautification Committee and Community Services Department, the La Palma Arbor Day Celebration includes a display of entries from the coloring and art contests, Arbor Day crafts, Arbor Day Tree Sponsorship program, art contest awards presentation, and of course, planting of a new tree.

Beach Cleanups - Huntington Beach

Invite your friends and family out to the Huntington Beach monthly cleanup event to keep our beaches clean and learn about coastal conservation and marine debris.

Bolsa Chica Conservancy Wetland Restoration Events - Huntington Beach
Second Sunday & Last Saturday of each month
9:00 am-12:00pm

Enjoy the Great Outdoors while helping to restore the Bolsa Chica Wetlands! Join us for our twice monthly service day every second Sunday and last Saturday of the month. Service includes restoration of native plant communities through non-native plant removal, and cleanup efforts. Wear close-toed shoes, layered clothing, protection from the sun and bring water. Ages 6 years – Adult (Kids under 14 need to be supervised by an adult). Donations of heavy duty trash bags, work gloves, and bottled water are appreciated!

Surfrider Foundation

The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Founded in 1984, Surfrider Foundation's most important coastal environmental work is carried out by Surfrider Foundation's 60 chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts.

There are all kinds of volunteer activities to do, from beach cleanups to water testing to educational presentations to writing newsletters to attending city council meetings to many other things.

Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy

A steward for a wilderness reserve located in the coastal foothills of Southern California.
