MUZEO will host an all-new exhibition in its Main Gallery “LEGEND: 200 Years of Sleepy Hollow.” The exhibition explores the origins of the classic short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving and the lasting legacy of one of America’s first pop culture icons, Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. Art and artifacts on display include ephemera from 200 years of publishing, film adaptations, and collectable memorabilia as well as contemporary works by local artists celebrating the ghostly tale.

Halloween Halloween Spooktacular & Trunk or Treat

The City of Dana Point Recreation Division is teaming up with Dana Point Police Services for two great family events on one day. Indoor activities include a Haunted House maze, games, crafts, cookie decorating, entertainment, a costume parade and treats for children. Dana Point Police Services will be holding their Trunk or Treat in the parking lot area. Come meet the Blood Hounds, Bomb Squad, K-9 Unit, Mounted Patrol, and the dedicated staff that keep Dana Point safe.

At 6:30pm we will be showing a Halloween movie on our ballfield with free hot chocolate and popcorn and candy. Refreshments available to purchase throughout the event from Tacos4Troops Food Truck and Kona Ice.

Come to Ocean Institute for Spooky Seas and visit the Mad Scientist Lab to make ghost bubbles and fizzing eyeballs. Travel to the Candy Lab to perform experiments on everyone’s favorite Halloween treats, and learn sailor myths, legends, and superstitions during the days of Richard Henry Dana Jr.

Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours

Due to popularity, the tours book up fast, and persons interested in participating are strongly advised to get their registrations in early.

Did you know Fullerton is one of the most haunted cities around? Ghosts are lurking at every corner. Take this tour and find out what businesses have pots and pans flying around after hours, what famous deceased Fullertonian makes an “appearance” now and then, enjoy some of Fullerton's history. These tours are a celebration of local legend while sharing stories of another facet of Fullerton’s history, particularly that of the downtown.

The tours leave the museum promptly at 6 p.m., and last approximately two and one-half hours. Aul said “ghost hunters” should be prepared to walk approximately 1.5 miles, and the tours will include climbing stairs. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sense of humor with them.

Spooky Halloween Train

Grab your best costumes and bring the family to the annual Halloween Train! Tours, treats, and maybe some tricks will delight kids of all ages. There will also be games, photo opportunities, and crafts. Bring your trick or treat bag!

This is a free event but donations are welcome. Every donation directly impacts the Fullerton Train Museum and allows them to continue bringing events to the community.

Put your costumes on and join us for some FREE family fun! King of Kings looks forward to welcoming YOU to our annual Trunk or Treat event for an evening of fun games, treats, and a light meal.

What is "Trunk or Treat"? Instead of trick-or-treating from house to house, come and trick-or-treat from car to car! This fall carnival-style event is held on our church/school property where you and your children can walk through the parking lot, stopping at each parked car to play games and win candy.

Make sure that one of your stops is at the "King of Kings Info booth" where you can learn more about our church (worship services, Bible studies, and small groups) and our school (Preschool - 8th Grade). All little goblins, monsters, princesses and warriors come show off your costumes and enjoy safe Halloween trick-or-treating center-wide at Bella Terra. The first 500 kids who arrive will receive a super cute trick-or-treat bag with some fun goodies.

An elaborate yard display in Irvine, BOOT HILL rises from the fog each year to inhabit the residence at 16 Goldenrod. The unearthly spirits from the Old West town of Bridgewood will materialize for EIGHT haunting nights, transforming the residence at 16 Goldenrod into the old church and cemetary that once occupied this hallowed ground. Come if you dare... but beware the ghost of Jedediah Smith, as he has been known to roam the decaying grounds of Boot Hill, exacting revenge on all who cross his path!

Free to all, donations are accepted with proceeds going to CHOC, Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Haunted Trails is back again for another year of terrifying thrills! You are invited to join us on the trail for three memorable nights that are sure to haunt your dreams. Our undead monsters are eagerly awaiting your arrival. This year's event will be reservation based, limited, and will sell out. Reservations will open online and in person in early October. Not recommended for children under 8 years old.
