Holiday Street Fair held at the Center Street Promenade. The celebration includes a tree lighting ceremony, snow area, free craft activities and train rides for children, entertainment, food and a visit from some special guests. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Anaheim Merchants Association, the Nutcracker Holiday Committee, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Community Foundation.

Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
Newport Beach/Newport Bay
December 17-21, 2014

FREE to the public. The boat parade will light up the harbor for five consecutive nights. The parade starts at Bay Island at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately two and a half hours. Over 250 ships participate in the parade along with hundreds of water front estates. Providing the backdrop for the parade is the Ring of Lights waterfront home and business decorating competition. FREE for spectators, entry fee for participating boats. Over million and half people view the parade each year.

For those of you that would like to be in parade Davey's Locker offers 2 general admission cruises nightly every night of the parade that are a part of the actual parade. Viewing the parade from a ship means that you see all of the parade and homes in full decor that line the waterfront. General admission tickets can be reserved over the phone.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Light up the holiday at the City of Brea’s annual tree lighting celebration. Live music and entertainment will put everyone in the holiday mood. Festival of Trees - Newport Beach

A new holiday tradition of hope is coming to the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach as South County Outreach launches its inaugural Festival of Trees fundraising event. The Fairmont will be transformed into a winter wonderland with elaborately decorated trees, each with its own unique theme. Trees will be decorated on Thursday, November 20, and will be on display to the public November 21 through December 4.

As part of the event, the Fairmont – the presenting sponsor of Festival of Trees – will host a Trees of Hope holiday toy drive to support the South County Outreach Adopt-A-Family program. The public is invited to bring toy donations to the Fairmont. The Fairmont’s Tree of Hope holiday toy drive will continue throughout December and the public is invited to drop off new toys for children of all ages. Santa Claus arrives on Friday, November 28th!

Take an enchanting night ride through historic Irvine Regional Park to meet and have your picture taken with Santa Claus. Irvine Park Railroad’s Christmas Tree Ranch
November 28 - December 23, 2014
10:00 am - 8:00 pm daily

Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, families will be able to purchase Christmas trees at Irvine Park Railroad. Visitors will be able to choose from among Douglas fir, Noble fir, and Grand fir trees ranging in height from 4' to 12'. Christmas tree stands, preservatives, tree disposal bags, wreaths, and garland will also be available for sale.

Families can walk the Christmas Tree Ranch to find their perfect Christmas tree. Irvine Park Railroad staff will help you load your Christmas Tree into/onto your car.

It’s double the fun in San Clemente with Santa, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, crafts and much more holiday cheer for the whole family to enjoy!

Begin your day with a holiday spectacular at the Community Center. Decorate a holiday cookie in Mrs. Claus’ Bakery, visit with Santa (bring your camera), walk through the Candy Cane Factory, snack on popcorn while watching Polar Express, and listen to sounds of holiday cheer. Light the tree with the Mayor at 5:15pm.

The fun continues down the lane to the Casa Romantica, splendidly decorated for the holidays, with Santa, Dickens carolers, hot chocolate and cookies, crafts for kids, holiday entertainment, and holiday exhibitions.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
December 6, 2014
4-9 pm

Event starts at 4:00 p.m. with a pre-show including choir, orchestra and dance performances by local high school students. The lighting of the Christmas tree takes place at 5:30 p.m.

Festivities continue at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, in the Los Rios Historic District and at ZOOMARS Petting Zoo. Downtown Shops will host and "Open House" with special sales and complimentary refreshments.

Great food, and fun and/or funky vendors, plus musical entertainment await everyone in the Centre, as do special trophies for many unique crafts. Why knot seize the opportunity to decorate and enter your truck, trailer, ski boat, homemade submarine or jazzy yacht full of friends or kids in this wacky entourage.





Annual Handel's Messiah community sing-along

Two concert seatings: 1:00 pm and also 3:30 pm.

The audience is invited to sing along with the Master Chorus and Orchestra in the favorite Messiah choruses, which include Glory of the Lord, Thou that tellest Good Tidings, For Unto Us a Child is Born, Glory to God in the Highest, His Yoke is Easy, Behold the Lamb of God, Lift up your heads, and of course, the Hallelujah Chorus. If you are a singer, please bring your own music scores (G. Schirmer edition).

Admission and parking is free. Seating is unreserved, and doors open half hour prior to each concert.
