This night of Old West entertainment consists of four contests are rolled into one! Best Dressed Old West Man, Best Dressed Old West Woman, Best Belt Buckle, and the Hairiest Man (best moustache and/or beard). So don your finest Old West outfit, belt buckle or facial hair! and enter one or more of the contests.

For the more timid, spectators are always welcome at the hilarious Fiesta Grandé.

Live music, community presentations, Mission Parish School performances, ringing of the historic bells, official press conference, exclusive performance by Renée Bondi singing Leon René’s classic song, “When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano”, a reading from the newly published book, “The Year the Swallows Came Early”, as presented by its author Kathryn Fitzmaurice, guided tours, Mission trivia, Living History demonstrations and more!

Swallows Day Parade & Mercado - San Juan Capistrano
March 20, 2010
Parade begins at 11:00 am
Mercado runs 8 am - 5 pm

The Parade takes place in down-town San Juan Capistrano. This is the nation's largest non-motorized parade. It is totally organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association. Arrive early; most street closures are by 10.00 a.m. The parade begins promptly at 11 am.

The Mercado is a Street Fair and Market Place where you can eat, drink, and shop at over 100 booths. It is THE place to be after the parade! Listen and dance to the music of The Working Cowboy Band, a traditional country music band.

Discovery Science Center Presents: Secrets of Circles - Santa Ana
January 16 - May 2, 2010

This exciting new exhibit celebrates the math, science and beauty of such a simple shape and helps children and adults alike to uncover the secrets of the many circles in the world. Secrets of Circles Exhibit Gears Exhibit Inventing the Wheel Kaleidoscope Lathe Spin Pictures Throughout the exhibit, there are examples of two and three-dimensional circular forms to help to learn how circles aid engineers in solving problems.

Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach
