Etnies Skatepark End of Summer Campout - Lake Forest
August 29-30, 2014

If you have a child who skates, this is a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with this skatepark's annual Camp Out. This year there will be a game truck, skateboard contests, slackline challenge, and much more. Bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag (even though most stay up and skate all night long). Cost is $30 with food and drinks included, and each parent will need to bring their child down that evening and sign a waiver for the night.

The Great Labor Day Cruise - Costa Mesa
Friday August 29 - Sunday August 31, 2014

The Great Labor Day Cruise attracts over 1400 vintage autos, classics and street rods. Not just a car show, it’s a true family event wich include a model car contest, wild wagons display and over 100 vendors for both automobile related and personal related items. This is one of the largest and longest running 3 day events in the nation and one of a few that can offer non-stop cruising around a 1.25 mile cruise route set up at the 150 acre venue.

If you'd like to overnight camp, this event offers 210 camping spaces in 2 different areas of the venue.

International Street Fair - Orange
Labor Day Weekend
August 29-31, 2014

International foods, crafts, folk dancing and music. Many different ethnic foods and costume. The Street Fair has become known for the variety of food reflecting cuisine from around the world. They provide food, drink, entertainment and crafts to the visitors.

LOCATION:
Street Fair is located in a four-square block area radiating out from the center of the Orange Plaza, which is the intersection of Chapman and Glassell.

Huntington Beach Civil War Days - Huntington Beach
August 30 & 31, 2014

See a Civil War reenactment with two different battles at Central Park in Huntington Beach. Great fun (plus learn about history!), while you hear The Gettysburg Address reenacted, visit "Reedsburg", the historic town of civilian folk to learn about daily life in the 19th century and visit each army's camp to see soldiers prepare for battle and rest up for the next fight.

Pageant of the Masters - Laguna Beach
July 9 - August 30, 2014

Presented in July and August since the early 1930's, these colorful events have won worldwide recognition. The Festival is a juried exhibit of fine, strictly original works by 160 gifted artists, while the Pageant is a spectacular stage production of living art re-creations.

Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through early April.

Summer and fall bring the giant blue whales. They can be seen from June through September

Since the Gray Whales migrate just a few miles off the coast, simple cruises from Dana Point and Newport Beach enable you to see these spectacular creatures in their natural habitat.
