BIKING LOCATIONS:
Aliso & Wood Canyon Wilderness Park:
Located in Aliso Viejo in Orange County, California.
The park offers a variety of terrain from the
most challenging of singletrack to the smoothest
of fire roads. The park is closed for three days
after any rain to prevent trail damage. Maps are
available at ranger station.

Whiting
Ranch
Very
popular for the novice rider. Please use caution
when riding. Especially if you are a beginner.
You'll have to learn what your limits are and
when to slow down. A little bit of info for
advanced riders
Directions:
Exit Interstate 5 at Lake Forest Drive and
head east for 4-5 miles until you get to Portola
Ave. Go left on Portola, past Bake Ave. and
turn into the Ralph's parking lot on the right
hand side. Towards the far left end of the parking
lot you will see the entrance to the park and
designated parking. Make sure you put money
in the box or it can cost you a big fat ticket.

Crystal
Cove State Park
Also known as El Moro Canyon in northern Laguna
Beach. This trail provides a great opportunity
for excellent loop style rides. The park is
almost entirely fireroad with a few good singletrack
exceptions. The park landscape differs from
that of almost any other park in OC. It is mostly
open grassland and open hills with minimal trees.
Directions: El Morro Canyon is located on Pacific
Coast Highway between Laguna Beach and Corona
Del Mar. Park in the State Park parking lot
and make sure to bring a crisp $5 bill for the
parking machine. Parking tickets are no joke
to the rangers.

Saddleback
Mountain
(Santa Ana Mountains) These trails are some of
the most interesting and diverse places to ride
in all of OC. They range anywhere from rolling
fireroad to the steepest and loosest of singletrack.
Directions:
Exit the 55 Freeway at Chapman Ave. east. Chapman
becomes Santiago Canyon Road as you cross Jamboree
Blvd. Proceed 12.8 miles to Live Oak Canyon Road
(Cook's Corner) and turn left (there is no right).
Continue 4.4 miles to the Trabuco Creek crossing
(just past Rose Canyon Road) turn left onto the
Trabuco Creek dirt road. You can park here and
ride about 5 miles to the trailhead, or drive
to Holy Jim Canyon Road (just past the fire station).
The parking area is on the left. From south county,
exit Interstate 5 at El Toro Road and go east
7.6 miles to Live Oak Canyon Road. Turn right
and proceed as described above.

friendly and active singles that enjoy a wide
variety of both sporting events and social activities.
Bicycling
is one of our top 4 sports in ASA. We offer plenty
of road and mountain bike rides. The road rides
are almost every weekend and vary from easy, coastal
rides of about 15-25 miles to more intermediate
rides of 30-40 miles. Each write-up in our newsletter

Run on Pacific Coast Highway past the famous Huntington
Beach pier and wind through the legendary surfing

entertainment and a 2 mile walk at UCI. The
National MS Society's mission is to end the devastating
effects of multiple sclerosis. They are currently

beach. Other popular activities are skin diving
and hiking along the trails on the bluffs. The
beach has a landscaped bluff top with picnic areas.
Trails lead down to the beach, which is also popular

entrance is reached via the Avenida Calafia exit.

showers, horseback trails, nature trails, family
