Mission Montessori believes the optimal infant program needs to be a home away from home - a place where parents can feel secure that their child will be loved, nurtured and most importantly “listened to.” Montessori caregivers observe first, listen next and then respond. You will usually find one caregiver on the floor with the children watching, listening and communicating. Every moment can be for bonding and teaching including: feeding, diaper changing and playing. Their caregivers use Maria Montessori's philosophy of helping children to become independent along with Magda Gerber's Infant Education Resources.
