Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through early April.

Since the Gray Whales migrate just a few miles off the coast, simple cruises from Dana Point and Newport Beach enable you to see these spectacular creatures in their natural habitat.

Ice Rink at the Spectrum - Irvine
November - February

Outdoor skating rink at the Irvine Spectrum.

Admission to Holiday On Ice is $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for children (10 yrs. and under). Skate rental (all ages) is $4.00. Both hockey and figure skates are available. Purchase a season pass for ONLY $199.00 (ONLY $99.00 before Nov 15!).

Orange County Gladiators
Pro Basketball is now in Orange County!

The Orange County Gladiators are one of the newest entries into the ABA (American Basketball Association), the fastest growing and largest professional basketball league in North America with over 50 teams slated for the 2007-2008 season. The organization is an active participant in the community with a mission of providing quality family entertainment at prices that everyone can afford. The team will commence play in November of 2007 and will be playing their 18 home games in South Orange County.

ANNUAL BOAT PARADE OF LIGHTS

Boaters from all around Orange County decorate their boats and vie for awards. You can view the parade free from anywhere in the Harbor, or make reservations at one of our restaurants to view it from a cozy and warm spot. Come on down and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade - Laguna Niguel

Featuring marching bands, equestrian units, youth groups, vehicles, civic groups, schools, local dignitaries and, of course, Santa.

between Nueva Vista and Crown Valley Community Park.

Historic French Park Holiday Home Tour - Santa Ana

Tour some of Orange County's oldest and finest homes! The 19th Century movers and shakers of Orange County made their homes here the turn of the century... today, this National Register of Historic Places neighborhood opens their doors for you to catch a rare glimpse of their holiday glory. French Park's architecture showcases Eastlake Victorian, Craftsman bungalow, and Colonial, NeoClassical and Spanish Revival styles.

Annual Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade
Newport Beach

FREE to the public. The boat parade will light up the harbor for five consecutive nights. The parade starts at Collins Island at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately two and a half hours. Providing the backdrop for the parade is the Ring of Lights waterfront home and business decorating competition. FREE for spectators, entry fee for participating boats.

Newport Landing Sportfishing also offers cruises to give spectators the oppurtunity to actually participate in the parade, instead of just watching it from the sidelines!

Cruise of Lights - Huntington Beach

Take a narrated cruise through the waterways of Huntington Harbour to see the holiday lighted homes and decorations in this annual event .
Location: Park in the Huntington Harbour Mall lot (corner of Algonquin and Saybrook) and get on the designated buses that travel a short distance to the boat launch area.

OC MARATHON

Join thousands of other community-minded runners and walkers at the OC Marathon, beginning at Newport Center before crossing into Irvine towards the finish line. Pledges to benefit eleven local children’s charities through Run for Orange County Kids (ROCK).

Annual 26.2 mile marathon travels along oceanfront course.

Annual Fascination of Orchids International Show - Costa Mesa

One of the largest orchid shows in the world, in addition to many orchid lectures, there will be over 100 orchid exhibits and thousands of orchids available for purchase from world wide growers. Admission is $3 and parking is free.

TET FESTIVAL - Garden Grove

Sponsored by the Union of Vietnamese Students Association, celebrates the arrival of spring and the first day of the lunar year. The event is held annually in February in the Garden Grove Park.
