Summer Means Blue Whale Watching Off Newport Beach-$20 Special - Newport Beach

June ushers in the best season in Newport Beach and some of the best months for whale watching as well. Giant blue whales are viewed in huge numbers as they feed on the abundant quantities of krill found in the coastal waters of Orange County. Long days with mild tempatures means many cruise times to choose from each day. Cruises are 2 1/2 hours in length and not only view giant blue whales but many other varieties of whales and dolphin. Make sure to bring sunscreen.

Annual Irish Fair and Music Festival

The Great American Irish Fair and Music Festival is the largest festival of its kind in the Western United States. The Fair highlights 16 entertainment areas featuring the very best in the music, song, dance and sport of the Irish, along with over 100 Irish, Scottish and English import shops and arts and crafts vendors along with sheepherding shows, Irish horse shows, Irish dog shows and one of the largest Irish Step Dancing competitions in California.

In 2013, Eventwerks launched the Dana Point Food, Wine & Music Festival. The event was an instant hit with more than 100 exhibitors in attendance, 15 restaurants, chocolatiers, live music from tribute bands, kids fun zone, International wine festival, art in the park and a microbrew festival. More than 8,000 people showed up for the one-day event. This year the Dana Point Food, Wine & Music Festival will be held on Saturday June 21st at Sea Terrace Park from 12p-7p. We will continue to expand each and every one of our attractions. Due to the success of the first year’s event, attendance is expected to grow to 10,000.

The Great Southern California Beer Festival - Dana Point

The Great Southern California Beer Festival will be at Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point on June 21, 2014. Last year more than 8,000 people attended the event that featured 100 different beer brands, representation from numerous breweries, live performances by the Spazmatics and Platinum Rockstars, over 100 exhibitors, great food and more! For the 2nd year in a row, this event will be held at the same time and in the same location as the Dana Point Food, Wine & Music Festival. This year promises to be even bigger with an estimated crowd of 10,000!

Relay for Life - San Juan Capistrano

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the largest cancer-fighting event in the nation, raising nearly hundreds of millions of dollars last year alone! More To See Than Fireworks-$20 Blue Whale Watching Newport Beach - Newport Beach

July finds Newport Beach abuzz with activity both on the shore and off it. Blue whales are found in large numbers just off Newport Coast during the month of July making for some incredible whale watching experiences. Unlike many other international whale watching destinations, cruises need only be a couple hours as the whale watching is just that good. Finback whales and Minke whales are also viewed as well and several species of dolphin.

BATH'STILLE DAY at Costa Mesa Bark Park

Just when you thought Soap Operas were a thing of the past, along comes the Costa Mesa Bark Park's annual "sudser" the BATH'STILLE DAY DOG WASH. Once again this year, the Cheer and Football squads from Costa Mesa High School will be on hand to wash community canines -- and lend support to the dog park.

The Park is located on the corner of Arlington Avenue and Newport Boulevard in TeWinkle Park, across the street from the Orange County Fairgrounds Equestrian Center.

Great Time For Whale Watching-$20 Whale & Dolphin Cruise Special - Newport Beach

This is a hot month of viewing whales, with blue whales leading the way. These giants exceed 80 feet in length and weigh 200 tons or more. The second largest whale, the finback whale is also often sighted on whale watching cruises during this month. The waters off Newport Beach is where the whale watching takes place and cruises depart daily from Newport.
