Summer Means Blue Whale Watching Off Newport Beach-$20 Special - Newport Beach

June ushers in the best season in Newport Beach and some of the best months for whale watching as well. Giant blue whales are viewed in huge numbers as they feed on the abundant quantities of krill found in the coastal waters of Orange County. Long days with mild tempatures means many cruise times to choose from each day. Cruises are 2 1/2 hours in length and not only view giant blue whales but many other varieties of whales and dolphin. Make sure to bring sunscreen.

Celebration of the Arts - Yorba Linda

A very unique fine arts & music festival featuring nearly 100 exhibitors, including almost every type of visual and performing art that you can imagine. Annual Irish Fair and Music Festival
June 14-15, 2014

The Great American Irish Fair and Music Festival is the largest festival of its kind in the Western United States. The Fair highlights 16 entertainment areas featuring the very best in the music, song, dance and sport of the Irish, along with over 100 Irish, Scottish and English import shops and arts and crafts vendors along with sheepherding shows, Irish horse shows, Irish dog shows and one of the largest Irish Step Dancing competitions in California.

Relay for Life - San Juan Capistrano

A fun and inspirational 24-hour event that brings together a community to raise funds for cancer research. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the largest cancer-fighting event in the nation, raising nearly hundreds of millions of dollars last year alone! It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

July finds Newport Beach abuzz with activity both on the shore and off it. Blue whales are found in large numbers just off Newport Coast during the month of July making for some incredible whale watching experiences. Unlike many other international whale watching destinations, cruises need only be a couple hours as the whale watching is just that good. Finback whales and Minke whales are also viewed as well and several species of dolphin.

Pageant of the Masters - Laguna Beach

Capistrano Shakespeare Festival presents: 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' - San Juan Capistrano

Key themes of Merry Wives include love and marriage, jealousy and revenge, social class and wealth. Explored with irony, sexual innuendo, sarcasm, and stereotypical views of classes and nationalities, these themes help to give the play something closer to a modern-day view than is often found in Shakespeare's plays.

Cypress Community Festival - Cypress

One of the largest one-day festival in Orange County that attracts over 20,000 people annually. This event includes an early morning 5K / 10K run, a pancake breakfast, car show, chili cook-off, family games, food booths, the Chamber of Commerce business expo, children's rides, arts and crafts booths and four stages with continuous entertainment. BATH'STILLE DAY at Costa Mesa Bark Park
2013 dates coming

Just when you thought Soap Operas were a thing of the past, along comes the Costa Mesa Bark Park's annual "sudser" the BATH'STILLE DAY DOG WASH. Once again this year, the Cheer and Football squads from Costa Mesa High School will be on hand to wash community canines -- and lend support to the dog park.

Dogs of all sizes and breeds can get a wash and towel dry for the rock bottom price of $20. Also included in the festivities are a Vendor Fair, Raffle, BB-Q and a rare opportunity to take the Canine Good Citizen Test in a public setting. Adoption and Rescue organizations will be on hand if you are looking for a new companion and German Shepherd Rescue will be implanting microchips for the phenomenal price of $25. Our resident artist will paint your dog's portrait on our mural for $25.

Great Time For Whale Watching-$20 Whale & Dolphin Cruise Special - Newport Beach

This is a hot month of viewing whales, with blue whales leading the way. These giants exceed 80 feet in length and weigh 200 tons or more. The second largest whale, the finback whale is also often sighted on whale watching cruises during this month. The waters off Newport Beach is where the whale watching takes place and cruises depart daily from Newport.
