2011 Concerts
DETAILS:
Lively music of various genres will be presented.
This is the perfect place to enjoy free entertainment
and get to meet some new friends. Guests are
encouraged to bring their folding chairs or
blankets and get comfortable on the lawn. Bring
your own picnic or just show up and you can
purchase delicious tri-tip sandwiches, ice cold
drinks and snacks that are offered for sale
by community partners.

enjoy these family friendly movies, under the
stars in beautiful Dana Point. Refreshments available
to purchase: candy, soda, bottled water, hot chocolate
and coffee. All proceeds from the concession sales
benefit a local school or non-profit. The Dana
Point Youth Board will be selling glow necklaces
for $1.00 each, as a fundraiser for their annual
Adopt-A-Family program.

The City of Irvine will host three fun-filled,
free concerts at Woodbridge Community Park. This
year, our annual summer concert series is in celebration
of the City's 40th Anniversary. Several delicious
food options, including gourmet food trucks, will
be on site, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting
the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, the Irvine
2/11 Marine Adoption Committee and other Irvine
non-profit organizations.

DETAILS: Live music begins at 8:15
pm on both nights, but there is a lot to do before
the music starts! The Great Park Gallery will
be open before each show, with a free El Toro-inspired
exhibition by OC artist Jorg Dubin. To enjoy the
music from 400 feet up in the Great Park Balloon,
it’s best to check in right at 6 pm — rides start
at 7 pm and fill up quickly, weather permitting.
The Great Park Carousel is also ready to take
you for a spin. The Hangar Café opens at 6 pm,
serving up snacks, dinner and beverages before
and during the shows. Arrive at least an hour
early to make sure you don’t miss anything.

This event is held every other Friday night. The
series includes a variety of music such as Classic
Rock, Tribute Bands, and Swing. The concerts are
offered free to the community. Food will be available
for purchase.
For
the safety of others, no scooters, skateboards,
roller blades, pets or smoking in the event area.
Alcohol is prohibited in all City parks. Please
bring low chairs or blankets so that you don’t
obstruct the view of others. Parking may be limited,
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE will be available for every
concert from 5-9:30pm (4:30-10:30pm on July 4th)

In The Parks And Shakespeare By The Sea
DETAILS:
The Newport Beach City Arts Commission will host
four evenings of free family arts entertainment
at local parks this summer including two Concerts
in the Parks and two evenings of Shakespeare by
the Sea. All of these summer events are free and
open to the public. Those planning to attend should
bring lawn chairs and a picnic dinner to fully
enjoy the entertainment under the stars.
