Oktoberfest - Huntington Beach September 14 - November 2, 2014

If you love to drink beer, eat bratwürst and sauerkraut and enjoy dancing to "Oompah-pa music directly from Linzerbuben, Austria, then you'll love the Oktoberfest at Old World Village with its traditional German festivity. Complete with German bands imported from Europe, dancing, and imported beers (of course) and tasty German foods from bratwürst to potato salad to hot pretzels and apple strudel, Oktoberfest has something for everyone.

Annual Historical Cemetery Tour - Santa Ana

Presented by the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society. This guided historical walking tour features costumed actors portraying colorful men and women who share stories from Orange County’s past. Docents will guide visitors through scenes that played important roles in the history of the county, culminating in a presentation in Fairhaven’s beautiful 1916 mausoleum. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the hour-and-a-half long walking tour.

Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo - Los Alamitos

Plymouth Rock N' Run 5k - Anaheim Hills
Thanksgiving Day

The 5k and 10k course is around the perimeter of the Yorba Regional Park, and the Santa Ana River bike trail. There will be live music throughout the event, courtesy of CSUF jazz combomusic, prizes, food, and a 1k kids fun run for 12 & under.

All of the funds raised by sponsors and race participants will help Reeve-Irvine research to battle spinal cord injuries and other neurological afflictions such as stroke, Alzheimer's, and multiple sclerosis.

Largest Of Whales Begin Their Migration Southward In November - Newport Beach

Blue whales have been feasting on krill in ocean waters for months and begin their journey southward many speculate to have their young in the warmer waters of the tropics. November is the end of the typical blue whale migration and can see a large number of blue whales traveling south along the Newport Beach coastline. Great weather and lots of whales make November one of the best months of the year for whale watching. Add many of varieties of whales during this month and the grand slam of whale watching can become a reality.
