November

Golden West College Theater Arts Department presents: Macbeth
Evening shows: November 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 pm;
Matinee shows: November 12 and 19 at 2:00 pm

Blending witchcraft, prophecy, and murder, Macbeth by William Shakespeare dramatizes the damaging effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake. Exploring the ideals of strength and courage, and the relationship between gender and dominance, Macbeth delivers a tragedy filled with action and adventure. With protagonists consumed by youthful desire, we are left to wonder whose ambition is the driving force of the play - Macbeth’s, Lady Macbeth’s, or both? Macbeth remains the most mysterious and unforgettable of Shakespeare’s plays.

Note: This production contains adult language and situations, and is intended for mature audiences. The Nov 11th performance will be ASL interpreted. Interested audience members can contact the box office to make appropriate seating arrangements by calling (714) 895-8150, or by email.
