2-Way Language Immersion Program

Laguna Niguel

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel presents eco-adventures that inspire you with Southern California’s unique ecosystems and connect your spirit to their larger global systems. Cool Critters & Animal Presentations

A professional performance that is both fun and educational for children of all ages, Cool Critters is a traveling reptile and exotic insect zoo for birthday parties, corporate events and classrooms. Discovery Science Center

Are your children bright, inquisitive, and explorative? Are you searching for a fun, educational outing for your family? Explore more than 120 hands-on exhibits, participate in live science experiments and more! There's always something new to discover!

For Teachers, Discovery Science Center is an interactive, educational and Grade-specific experience.

Heritage Museum of Orange County

Heritage Museum offers an exciting line-up of educational field trip programs. Programs offered include a hands-on tour of the historic 1898 Kellogg house where students learn what life was like in the 1890s by playing with vintage toys, doing laundry, making butter, dressing up in Victorian costumes, and participating in other activities. Other programs included are 'Great Grandpa's House' for the youngest students, 'First Californians' & 'Gold Rush'.

Inside the Outdoors

Inside the Outdoors® is Orange County Department of Education’s environmental education program and has been providing hands-on, interactive outdoor experiences for Southern California students since 1974. We are passionate about sharing the love of nature and science with students. We offer full and half day field trip programs to educate students from Kindergarten to 7th grade at 13 different sites around Orange County. Our Traveling Scientist programs bring hands-on science education into the classroom. We also offer week long programs for 5th and 6th graders at 6 different Outdoor Science School sites in the San Bernardino mountains. Inside the Outdoors school programs are aligned with the California Science and Social Science Content Standards, providing optimal connectivity with what your students are learning in the classroom.

Irvine Park Railroad- Educational Programs
Ongoing

Irvine Park Railroad offers educational programs and group discounts for train rides and other annual events. The 4th Grade California History Education Program - a fun, hands on program - meets fourth grade, history-social science content requirement standards for California Public Schools. Activities include a train ride, water wheel demonstration, a visit in the mine shaft, tour of a miner's camp, panning for gold and more. Book your class or group for the Pumpkin Patch; each child can participate in various activities and take a pumpkin home. Classes and groups can also be booked for the Easter Eggstravaganza; children will participate in an Easter egg hunt, train ride and other activities. Different packages are available. Journeys to the Past

Instructors engage students in daily activities that helped build the West. Learn about churning butter and grinding wheat flower and learn about the personal grooming habits of shaving with a mug, and washing clothes the old fashion way, with a scrub board! Program also includes Native American “touch and feel” table: make an arrowhead, use and ancient pump drill method and make a shell necklace. See artifacts of the culture that first occupied this county before and during the gold rush era. Your students will take home history.

Pacific Marine Mammal Center

A non-profit, volunteer organization and education center. They rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured seals and sea lions. Programs include a guided tour of the animal care facility and exhibit room, a slide presentation and observation of the animals. The also offer a range of educational programs for groups of all ages.

Starr Ranch Sanctuary
Located in Trabuco Canyon

Starr Ranch Sanctuary offers educational and research opportunities for ages 7 and up through their Ecology Programs, Starr Ranch Junior Biologists, Ranch Research, Family Nature Workshops, and Starr Ranch Bird Observatory.

Armenta Learning Academy
Home School and Independent Study Support

Armenta Learning Academy is an interactive, hands-on, 6:1 ratio school in a non traditional environment. At Amenta, we will find a specialized and individualized program best for your child. For Home Schooling Instruction for School Credit, Armenta Learning Academy can give you the support for a successful home school experience and oversee your child's progress and achievements.

For Independent Study Programs, they can also help in all academic areas. Through direction and assistance, students completing Independent Study courses will thrive in their small group and one on one environment. Starr Ranch Sanctuary
Located in Trabuco Canyon

Starr Ranch offers different programs that work well with home schooling. Their spring Junior Biologists (ages 8 - 13) runs for four consecutive Saturdays or school days and focuses on a specific wildlife research project. Their Ecology Programs provide home schoolers a hands-on experience in simulated or actual wildlife research on large mammals, creek insects, hawks, and more.

Small or large groups can schedule half day, full day, or overnight programs.

Learn a Foreign Language

LangoKids Irvine
Hola, Bonjour, Ni Hao! Welcome to LangoKids Irvine!

Lango Kids Irvine is a full-immersion foreign language program that teaches Spanish, French and Mandarin to young children ages 1-10 at our facility in Irvine! Classes, taught by native or near-native speaking teachers, are 45-minutes in length or 1.5 hours and are offered in small group settings of 5-10 students to help your child achieve his/her higher potencial and love for the langauge. Using music, games and in-class adventures to engage your child in a new language

Lango classes are a dynamic and engaging way for your child to learn Spanish, Mandarin or French. Language Door
Located in Irvine

Learn German, Farsi, Chinese, Hebrew and Spanish as well as many other foreign languages at Language Door language school in Irvine.

Language Door offers Group Classes with only two to eight students per class where pupils are encouraged to speak in their new language with their peers as well as the teacher. Private tutoring is also offered with one-on-one tutoring that gives students the individual attention and flexible scheduling that they need.

A network of community libraries in Orange County. There are currently 32 branches as well as an outlet in Orangewood Children's Home to provide a variety of services to residents throughout the County. Some of the branches are operated within the jurisdiction of the county's 33 cities and some within the county's unincorporated area.
