Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade

The Halloween Parade has been an Anaheim tradition since 1924, when baseball legend Babe Ruth was honored as the Grand Marshal of the celebration.

The Fall Festival, organized by the Anaheim Fall Festival Committee, have activities planned from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., featuring game and food booths, live entertainment, a costume contest, trick-or-treating, free children’s admission to the MUZEO when accompanied by a paid adult, and a haunted house. Food and craft booths are available for a nominal fee

A Children's Halloween Extravaganza. Children come in costume and will enjoy live music and entertainment. CASA works to break the vicious cycle of child abuse by training community volunteers to speak up for abused children and guiding them into environments where they will thrive.

Interpretive Association will once again host Doheny's Halloween Haunt. A section of the campground will be transformed into a spooky area, with educational booths, arts and crafts, a Fun Zone, and other fun activities.

Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours
September 16 through November 6, 2009
6 p.m. (lasting about 2 ½ hours)

Did you know Fullerton is one of the most haunted cities around? Ghosts are lurking at every corner. Take this tour and find out what businesses have pots and pans flying around after hours, what famous deceased Fullertonian makes an “appearance” now and then, and where the spirits like to have a beer or two. Don’t miss out on a hauntingly good time!

“Ghost hunters” should be prepared to walk approximately 1.5 miles, and the tours will include climbing stairs. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sense of humor with them. The tour is not recommended for children under 13.

Haunted Garden at the Arboretum

Tour Times - 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm

Watch out for bats & bullfrogs, vampires & vermin, ghosts, goblins and ghouls. Follow Count Dracula and Friends of Frankenstein for a scary trip down garden paths into the deciduous forest and on to the Haunters’ Ball for refreshments and fun.

Haunted Garden will feature again this year a less spooky “Younger Children’s Costume Party” on Saturday, October 24 th from 1:00- 3:00 PM, for children 3-5 years of age. The afternoon will include a costume parade, pumpkin patch tours, crafts, games, refreshments a few surprises. The cost for the afternoon is $6.00 per child. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult and there is no charge for the adult.

Night of the Living Dead

Pumpkin Launch 2009

An elaborate yard display in Irvine, BOOT HILL rises from the fog for it's 10th year to inhabit the residence at 16 Goldenrod. The unearthly spirits from the old west town of Bridgewood will materialize for SEVEN nights, transforming the residence at 16 Goldenrod into the old church and cemetary that once occupied the land. Come if you dare...but beware the ghost of Jedediah Smith, he has been known to roam through the decaying grounds of Boot Hill.

Free to all, donations are accepted with proceeds going to CHOC: Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

Haunted Trails
October 22-24, 2009

A tornado ripped through Crown Valley Park dropping a “Lost Island” along the creek bed. Small groups will be escorted through the “Pirate Village” and wind through the “Jungle Maze,” avoiding the “Wild Animals” who live along the trail. Island cannibals will show you their village life as you wind through the tents and end up on the banks of “Lost Island.” Wear comfortable shoes to walk along the trail.

Location at the entrance to the Community Park on the emergency road. Geared to children 8 years and older.

Roaring ‘20s Themed Murder Mystery Dinner

Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off

Haunted Tour up Black Star Canyon
October 24, 2009

By lantern light, follow the ghost of William Wolfskill up Black Star Canyon where he massacred an entire Indian village. Hear stories about grizzly bears, wolves, and jaguars. Look for tarantulas, bats, and owls. Wear your favorite Halloween costume. Beware the mysterious spooks concealed within the Chaparral. Meet at the great sandstone rock next to the pipe gate at end Black Star Canyon Rd.

Cost: $10 donation per person. For ages 13 and up (Minors must be accompanied by parent or guardian.)

Meet at the end of Black Star Canyon Rd, Silverado, CA 92676. Take Santiago Canyon Rd east from Jamboree, follow past Irvine Lake, turn left on Silverado Cyn Rd, turn left on Black Star Cyn Rd, follow all the way to white pipe gate and park. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.


Pirates of Frontier

The 3rd Annual "Pirates of Frontier" haunted house will be held at the end of Frontier Street in Wagon Wheel (101 Frontier Street). This year, we are accepting donations on behalf of the Katie Hawley Fund, which assists the Hawley family as they help their daughter fight the effects of cancer.

The excitement all starts on Halloween Night, when the cul de sac at the end of Frontier Street will be transported into an amazing scene from the age of swashbucklers. The Pirates of Frontier will include 5 different areas: The Pirate Shack, Redbeard's Saloon, Outdoor Graveyard, Torture Chamber& Davy Jones' Shipwreck
