Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza

Held at Doheny State Beach, local residents are encouraged to bike or walk to their favorite viewing spot to avoid the annual parking difficulties. If you must drive, plan ahead. Parking lots at Doheny State Beach and the Dana Point Harbor fill up very early.

Annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival
Friday, July 4, 2008
5:00-9:30 PM (fireworks at 9 PM)

Live musical entertainment (provided by guitar virtuoso Deke Dickerson and his rockabilly band, the Eccofonics), games and food booths will mark this event, which will be topped off by an aerial fireworks display set to music by Pyrospectaculars of Rialto at 9 p.m.

Other activities lined up for the evening includes pony rides, a petting zoo, jugglers, stilt-walkers, balloon artists, bounce houses and more.A variety of game and international food booths will be sponsored as fund-raisers by non-profit Fullerton organizations. A nominal fee will be charged for the children’s rides.

Huntington Beach

2008 4th of July Parade & Pier Festival
Friday, July 4, 2008

The day starts at 6 a.m. with the Surf City 5K Run and Fitness Expo at Worthy Park, and the Huntington Beach Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast in Lake Park starting at 6:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., the 104th Annual Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade will wend its way along historic Main Street parade route. Marching bands, floats, military troops, community groups, dignitaries, clowns, equestrians and celebrities make up more than 250 parade entries that will thrill parade-goers until just past noon.

After the parade ends, everyone is invited to bask in the Huntington Beach sun and enjoy the Pier Festival until evening, when the excitement mounts in anticipation of a spectacular fireworks display over the ocean.

3 Day Festival
Friday kicks off the huge three-day Pier Festival on Pier Plaza at the famed Huntington Beach Pier. Admission is free, and attendees can enjoy daily live entertainment, a 28-foot-high climbing wall, food, kid’s activities, and more than 60 unique vendors showcasing their goods from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday (July 4) and Saturday (July 5), and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6.

The Annual La Habra 4th of July Spectacular will be held on July 4th - Games, food and activities will be on hand to help celebrate family, community and our nation's independence. The fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m.

Pre-Sale admittance wristbands may be purchased through the Community Services Department from June 9th to July 3rd. The Pre-Sale price is $5 for adults (age 13 years and older) and $3 for children (ages three through 12 years)

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and admission prices on July 4th are $8 for adults (age 13 years and older) and $5 for children (ages three through 12 years). Children under three years of age are FREE.

At 9:00 p.m. the City continues its annual tradition with a spectacular fireworks display from the Municipal Pier. The end of the Pier, opposite the entrance, will close at 4 a.m. on July 3rd for preliminary preparation and the entire Pier will close on July 4th at 8:00 a.m. and remain closed for the entire day. The Fisherman’s Restaurant will be accessible to its patrons.
