Spring Festival - April (Saturday prior to Passover/Easter)

This annual event features homemade arts and crafts, great food, entertainment, and games for children. Held on Saturday, one week before Easter, activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, candy scramble, and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny. The annual pancake breakfast is held in the Westminster Senior Center and makes this event fun for the entire family. Also, the Westminster Police Department hosts an Open House with tours and displays of safety vehicles and equipment. Brothers of St. Patrick Family Festival - St. Patrick's Day

Festival located at 7820 Bolsa Ave. This daylong event normally begins with a mass followed by Irish football and hurling. Irish food and dancing is also featured.

Fourth of July Fireworks: July 4

The City of Westminster offers the community a fantastic show of entertainment and spectacular fireworks. The program is held on July 4 th at the Westminster High School's "Bill Boswell" football stadium at no charge to participants. All are welcome to join us for this festive event.

Summer Concerts in the Park

On Thursday nights in the summer, the community can enjoy a variety of free concerts. You will be entertained by swing, classical, rock-n-roll, country, bagpipes and Westminster 's own Chorale. Concertgoers may bring a picnic dinner or enjoy the delicious food items available through non-profit organizations.

Dia de la Familia: Early September

Hosted annually by the Westminster City Council, this “Day of the Family” provides an opportunity for residents and surrounding communities to participate in a cultural celebration of family and friends.

Halloween at the Westminster Mall : October

In a mutual effort with the Westminster Mall management and merchants, the Community Services and Recreation Department offers a safe and sane Halloween. Trick-or-Treating in a secure environment makes both parents and children happy, as merchants and the City pass out candy. Children can also play games at the penny carnival.

Tee Lighting Ceremony: 1st Monday in December

The first Monday evening in December, residents gather in front of the Civic Center to light the holiday tree, sing carols and restock the “food closets” for the needy. Please join the City in this joyful holiday event.
