A full week of fun-filled-action-packed horsing around with the BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN Team! Students ages 8-13 will learn about safety, equipment, stable management, feeds & feeding, and all it takes to keep our equine team-mates healthy and happy. Nature Hikes, crafts and off-roading in the BTS EXPRESS golf cart, are just a few of the additional campy things you can expect. Each day includes a full riding lesson. No standing around waiting in OUR camps! No way! Everyone rides the full 45 minutes on their OWN horse! Held at the beautiful SYCAMORE TRAILS STABLES in San Juan Capistrano, just 1 minute off the 5 freeway. Tree and grass covered facility with COVERED arenas for those drizzly spring days! Cost is just $350 for all 5 days.

Etnies Skate Park Spring Skate Camp
Located in Lake Forest

Do you want to become a better skateboarder or maybe both parents are working and you are looking for something fun to do while on break. Here is your chance to hone your skateboard skills and have an awesome spring break. Each day of camp will consist of instruction, activities, skateboard movies, trick demos, games, and a snack break. Skaters will each receive a Creataskate.org skateboard deck and have the chance to design and customize it, then ride it! Skatepark staff will help improve upon skills desired by the campers. Each participant will receive an official Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest t-shirt with enrollment and a daily BBQ lunch.

Sea Dogs, Sailors & Scientists

ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum is providing eight days of family fun and education for Spring Break. Sea Dogs, Sailors and Scientists is our inaugural Spring Break Festival that celebrates both the famous and infamous characters in nautical history. Among the many activities, ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will provide visitors with hands-on and interactive wooden boat building, edible constellation creations and sea monster making. Adventurous scavenger hunts, Pirate led gallery tours and navigational games will take place here at the Balboa Fun Zone. Live music, hula hoop contests and special performances will continue throughout the week as well. Participation is free, so bring your family and friends down to the waterfront at the Balboa Fun Zone to be part of our celebration!

Starr Ranch Junior Biologists Spring, 2012 - Weeds and Wildlife: Artichoke Thistle and Animals
Located in Trabuco Canyon
Offering three different sessions from 8:30 to 12:30 - WEDNESDAYS: April 4, 11, 18, 25, THURSDAYS: April 5, 12, 19, 26& SATURDAYS: April 7, 14, 21, 28

Audubon’s 4000-acre Starr Ranch Sanctuary in southeast Orange County, adjacent to Coto de Caza and Dove Canyon, invites kids ages 8-13 to join staff biologists in researching the impacts of an invasive weed, artichoke thistle, on soils and animals during our four-day Starr Ranch Junior Biologists Spring program. Junior Biologists will have the opportunity to study soil chemistry and assist biologists with the live-capture, identification, and release of insects, reptiles and amphibians, birds, and small mammals at two different sites: one invaded by artichoke and one with native coastal sage scrub vegetation. The cost is $100. Group size is limited.
