Starr Ranch Sanctuary
Located in Trabuco Canyon

Field Ecology after school programs are offered in the winter for children ages 7 and up. Staff are biologists with graduate degrees and their research is integrated into their programs which are created to both educate and inspire a love of nature.

In February, the staff at Starr Ranch, a 4000-acre Audubon Sanctuary in southeast Orange County, invites kids ages 8 – 12 to visit the Ranch after school from 3:30-5:00 pm on Thursdays Feb. 10, 17, and 24, OR Fridays Feb. 11, 18, and 25. The first afternoon, kids will learn how our biologists study reptiles and amphibians. Next, the group will learn how biologists study hawks using radio telemetry. The third afternoon, kids will go on a nature walk with staff biologists. The cost is $30 for the three-day session and reservations are required. Wear clothes for outdoor walking. Laguna Hills National Junior Basketball

Want to keep your student busy this winter? LHNJB offers one of the best basketball programs in South Orange County.
